ONE BIG NIGHT - Annual PAC Auction and Dinner
One Signature Event to Celebrate One Exceptional Industry
Attendees came from across the state to celebrate, mix and mingle for one very important cause –the hospitality industry. Nearly 250 industry elite attended the 2009 One Big Night Pac Auction & Dinner truly making this year’s event a success, echoing that even in these current economic times the industry still recognizes that there is strength in numbers and they can pull together to support an event that is designed to support advocacy and the election of pro-business pro-hospitality candidates to the legislature. Our goal was to raise more than $100,000 for ORPAC during this one evening. This year’s auction was filled with local vacation getaways, golf packages and country club memberships, sporting game tickets and incredible local wine tasting packages. Many of the packages included group dinners, courtesy of some of Oregon’s finest establishments. Several luxurious items were available for bid and many bidders left the auction with some stellar deals. The silent auction truly was a success. Following the silent auction was a four course dinner and a fun and enjoyably entertaining live auction.
Certainly the night was memorable and a booming success. The only gripe was that the event only occurs once a year as it is "One Big Night" that the industry is able to leave their restaurants, get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind to bid, sip, mix, mingle and delight in great company, superb food and one heck of a cause…the support of Oregon’s hospitality industry.
